In today’s time, researchers have discovered a way to commute to different areas of the world. And now, scientists and tourists can also travel to remote locations. It contains advantages related to tourism as well as disadvantages regarding environmental preservation. In my opinion, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Regarding tourism, travel to remote natural environments can open up many possibilities to experience something new. Many places are still untouched and intact in their natural state, such as the South Pole and the rainforests. In addition, by going to distant locations, scientists and people can acquire more knowledge about natural habitats and environments. For instance, by traveling to the South Pole, scientists can research the lifestyles of wildlife creatures that live in these rural areas.
In contrast to this, the cons of this type of development can be damaging and should be considered. Firstly, travel to these destinations requires more expense. When people go to different kinds of places, they tend to spend a lot of money on the journey. Because of this, only wealthy people can afford this kind of trip. Secondly, tours to remote natural environments can have a hazardous effect on human health. For example, the temperature at the South Pole is extremely cold, which can cause severe health issues like lowered breathing, frostbite, drowsiness, and so on. Moreover, in the rainforest, people can be attacked by wild animals such as bears and tigers.
In conclusion, it is advantageous to go to remote places and gain knowledge and experiences about nature, even though there are dangers involved.
