It is often argued that the grown up young individuals crime connected with attributed to violence in the media. Some people believe that this is the main cause junior crime, while others think that there are other important reasons. This essay will discuss both views and provide my opinion.
One of the main reasons for this opinion is that teenagers spend a lot of time watching TV, movies, and social media. Violent scenes can influence young people, and they may start to think that aggressive behavior is normal or acceptable. For instance, the news often shows young individuals commiting violence against other young victims. And of the main reasons for juvenile crime is family problems. Teenagers who don’t receive enough care or control from their disadvantaged parents are more likely to commit crimes.
To tackle this issue, one effective measure would be to educate parents and provide support programs for teenagers. Another possible solution is to extend the school psychologist staff, whose role is to consult secondary school students and high schoolers. This could help proffessionals to identify children who already struggle with mental healt and help them to cope with certain problems. Schools should teach students about the consequences of crime, and the government should limit violent content in the media.
Overall, while violence in the media has certain negative effects, I firmly believe that it is not the main cause of juvenile crime, and other social factors play a more important role in shaping teenagers behaviour and future decisions.
