In recent years, there has been a rise in young crime. Some individuals believe the cause of that is the violence shown in the media. I partially agree with this statement, in fact, on one side the media can badly affect children with their contents, but on the other hand it’s up to the society to avoid this development.
Regarding the media, it often provides contents that normalize the violence. For this reason, some individuals things that the cause of this negative development derived from the media. For example, the young population, that still hasn’t accumulated enough life experience to distinguish which development can damage others, can be affected to an online content and thing that this way of behave is normal.
On the other hand, the society plays a key role to contrast this attitude. In fact, the school and the government should provide important techings regarding the education, the respect of each others and of all the people in the world. For instance, children should be tought since young ages to respect their peers and to distinguish a right development to a wrong one, even if they see different attitudes in the media.
In conclusion, even if the media can badly affect young population’s attitude, a fundamental role to prevent and face the increment in juvenile crime, is played by the adult world and the instituitions. In fact, children should learn since they are young what is the correct behaviour in the society and on what teachings rely.
