Many people think that earning high salary is a priority over happiness and satisfaction in their profession. In my opinion, job satisfaction far outweigh how much you earn with your work. First, there might be a lot of disadvantages working in a high salary position. Second, it could be beneficial to work on a place where you could be balanced and satisfied with your life.
High wages usually requires hard work and , moreover, tremendous amounts of time. Although hardworkingly you can earn a big sum of money in certain positions, these jobs demand a whole person. For example, leaders must be achievable almost always, including out of working time, which might be very challenging and demanding mentally and physically. Also, the way, which leads to such positions, is long and requires endurance and, of course, time again.
The advantages of a less paid but at the same time more satisfactory job are innumerable. A balanced work time serves you, both mentally and physically. Even though you could have less money to spend, on the other hand, more time to enjoy life. For instance, everyone of us could find less expensive hobbies and other modes to spend pastime, including certain sport (swimming, jogging) are cheap enough to be available for most of the people. In addition, if you are balanced and satisfied with your job, as well with your life, you can serve and support better your family and other people. As a consequence, your self-esteem and level of satisfaction would be raised even higher.
Overall, though it is quite important to earn enough providing the ability to support yourself and your family’s life, it is much more important to be satisfied with your job. It is my belief that this could lead you a more satisfied life too.
