Band 7+: Job satisfaction is more important than earning a high salary. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many individuals are of the opinion that everyone should characterize a big salary as the paramount criterion in quest of a suitable job, but others argue job contentment is far more beneficial. While there are various advantages of this perspective, I strongly disagree with it.

Granted, there are several reasons why people view high income as the utmost importance when seeking a post. First, people can have a better quality of life given they have the financial edge from a high income. For example, if a person were able to earn a fortune, they could afford their living costs, such as tuition fees and household expenses. Therefore, they may become less worried about finance-related problems and lead a comfortable life. Second, a high income allows laborers to establish a larger budget, which plays a fundamental role in future planning and advancement. It stems from the fact that the human community is a money-oriented society, meaning that better-off individuals seem to obtain an array of privileges and opportunities.

Nevertheless, the above-mentioned evidence is not solid, and I personally think that job satisfaction is more beneficial. To be more specific, being obsessed with substantial earnings can result in a situation in which people are constantly burdened by work. In contrast, those who are gratified with their work are frequently reported to manifest a higher degree of commitment and dedication. To illustrate, companies that can create happy and flexible working environments are less inclined to receive complaints and even resignation letters from their employees. Moreover, these conditions assist workers in having ideal opportunities to cultivate their creativity and innovation. This eventually leads to enhanced performance as well as productivity.

In conclusion, a considerable wage is advantageous in terms of offering persons a financial source for development and costs of living. However, I uphold the idea that employers should prioritize their employees’ job contentment since it can promote their dedication and efficiency.
