In this corporate world, earning of chief executives and high-ranking officials is significantly higher than other regular employees. Many argue that it is justified by their leadership roles and big responsibilities, while others believe there should not be pay gaps, meaning, that is unfair and leads to economic inequality. In my view, the qualification and role of CEOs and corporate executives in the company are testament to why they should receive fairly high salaries.
In corporate settings, especially in huge companies, all job roles are hierarchically structured, and salaries are ensured fair distribution. By definition, CEO is the company founder charged with management of an organization, meaning that their roles are more pivotal and arduous than others. It is a well-known fact that low-ranking employees can be substituted with another one who is more qualified and has competitive spirit. They can be found, but recognized qualification of CEOs and company officials is incomparable, making them irreplaceable and deserved to receive a handsome salary.
Apart from credentials, strategic decisions and the risks they take is another reason why they need to earn more than other workers. Most of CEOs and executives are considered people who hold the ownership of the company and are co-founders. Their sacrifices, dedication and yearly high-stakes investments increase their right to get higher pay. Some people may argue about the huge difference of salary gap between employees and chief executives; however, I believe that the high compensation can attract and retain these qualified people in this competitive business world.
In conclusion, the performance of CEOs and officials are astounding due to their role in being a true founder of an organization and regarding to their qualification than other lower-level employees.
