It is true that although the aviation industry not only has a significant key part in a country’s development but also brings many advantages, it also presents several potential drawbacks, particularly regarding long-distance flight impact on the environment. In my opinion, I think that the strength can outweigh the weakness in this case.

There are many clear advantages that the aviation industry brings for the community. To begin with, it makes air transportation to another country more accessible and efficient. It means that air cargo is allowed to deliver essential goods quickly across the countries, which not only expands business internationally but also promotes travel. Secondly, the young generation has numerous opportunities to integrate, learn and interact with foreign friends around the world, thereby fostering cultural exchange and global understanding. Moreover, long-distance air travel enables us to minimize waste of time in urgent situations by providing emergency aid to disaster areas. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, international flights played a crucial role in delivering vaccines and medical equipment to countries in need.

While extended air travel is seen as a positive goal for many, it is not without drawbacks. Firstly, airplanes release a significant amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which contributes to global warming and climate change. As a result, it has become one of the most polluting means of transportation. In addition, residents who live near airports often suffer from constant noise pollution, which causes many disadvantages to the quality of life and daily activities. For instance, sleep disturbances, the ability to concentrate, often occur among people living in nearby residential areas.

In conclusion, long-distance flights contain many advantages in expanding business markets, creating cultural exchange, and promoting travel; on the other hand, it also seriously affects the environment. However, we can seek useful methods to reduce this situation, so its advantages can overcome the disadvantages.
