In recent years, the preservation of species has become a concerning issue, as human needs are causing more and more animals to become rare. This is because people want to decorate their homes and cure diseases with animal products in medicine. The only way to address this problem is for both individuals and governments to take some responsibility for the issue.
First of all, ordinary people need to be aware of endangered animals and the impact of human activities on wildlife. If people are informed about the effect of excessive hunting of fragile creatures on the ecosystem through conventional and state-of-the-art technologies, such as TV, radio, and social media, they will be much less likely to kill them.
Governments should also legislate laws with specific punishments. The major reason for the extinction of animal species is the lack of rules to guide people to have an appropriate attitude toward animals. Politicians ought to impose laws against disruptive environmental activities like illegal fishing, which would allow the administration to have appropriate control over human activities.
In addition, financial resources can also serve as a deterrent to save wildlife. If the government allocated money to animal survival by protecting their natural habitats, they would be significantly safer against human threats. While I concede that tax revenue can be used for other necessary services, such as healthcare, I believe that it is worth the cost.
All this being said, only when people enhance their awareness about the importance of preserving animals and the government determines laws, will the killing of animals be overcome.
