In the modern world, there is an ongoing debate about whether using of artificial intelligence in selecting processes enhances efficiency and reduces bias, while others believe it leads to unfair discrimination and loss of human touch. Personally, I believe it has a double-edged sword, but in that case i think that AI is the best option for hiring procces.
One major reason why artifical intelligence is the best option for recruitment procedure is that unassumingly boarding process takes a lot of time in that scenario prior to employment, using AI to screen a candidate allows the employer to gain immediate access to their information. In addition, aritifical intelligence has a strong program for selecting people, which give a reason being ideal people for workers. For instance, AI can select ideal people for employees who can work very hard, which it leads the development of a professional workforce within society. As a result, artificial intelligence access to employees gain information within a seconds and select only masters of their work.
On the other hand, relying solely on artificial intelligence in recruitment carries significant drawbacks, particularly regarding algorithmic discrimination and the absence of human empathy. Because AI models are trained on historical data, they risk inheriting and reinforcing past human biases – such as favoring certain demographics over others based on subtle keywords in resumes. Furthermore, AI lacks the emotional intelligence required to evaluate intangible qualities like interpersonal skills, adaptability, and cultural fit. For instance, a candidate with a non-traditional background or a gap in their employment history might be automatically rejected by an automated filter, even though they possess exceptional talent and character. Consequently, complete reliance on AI can result in unfair hiring practices and strip the recruitment process of essential human judgment.
In conclusion, while artificial intelligence undeniably streamlines the hiring process and helps identify highly qualified talent rapidly, it can also perpetuate hidden biases and eliminate the personal, human element necessary for evaluation. In my opinion, the most effective approach is a hybrid model where artificial intelligence is utilized for initial screening and administrative efficiency, but the final hiring decisions remain firmly in the hands of human recruiters to ensure fairness, empathy, and holistic evaluation.
