Band 5+: Many cities around the world are facing serious traffic congestion. what are the problems associated with traffic congestion? what measures could be taken to solve this problems?

Traffic jams has became a growing problem in many countries. While, this can be attributed to the delays or accidents, the problem can be adressed by expanding road networks or encouraging public transport.

Two major factors contributing to the traffic congestion are narrow roads or overusing of private cars. As a result, these contributors might cause several problems, including delays or likelihood of accidents. That kind of problems would be harmful for society if you didn’t like tackle it. For instance, delays are are really frustrating when people are late for meetings or kind of special events. Even worse traffic congestion may cause to delay of emergency workers such as pandemics or firefighters. It is certain that when they are late the situation can be dangerous for the health of people. Additionally, accidents are also posed as a consequence of narrow roads. This is because in such roads vehicles often stop suddenly and then move again. However, in that condition some drivers might not react in time, causing collision.

Nevertheless, the problem might be hairy, there are a number of ways by which it can be addressed. One effective measure would be too expand road networks. With founding such road networks more cars would be able to enter, preventing delays. Another approach would be encouraging people to use public transport instead of their private cars. This is because overusing of private vehicles lead to the heavy traffic. In order to impose it transport should be free and t convenient. With doing that, people can be persuaded to use public transport instead of their own car.

In conclusion, although heavy traffic is causing delays or accidents, the issue can be effectively talked through measures like expanding road networks or encouraging public transport.
