Nowadays, waiters and delivery drivers are being replaced by robots with its usage of automation in food delivery and restaurants. Although there are positive aspects toward robots, i firmly believe that the disadvantages overpass the advantages.
Firstly, automatic machine such as robot is taking over real people jobs and lead human to struggle with unemployment. Restaurant owners are captivated and convinced by robots, which is told that it cost less than paying wages to human and its flexibality in doing handy tasks such as serving and delivering food. This is the prime reason that employees got fired for no reason and they are dealing with getting hired to save themselves. For instance, thousands of restaurants in China are using robots to serve food, which leads to a heat argument and protest among old employees.
Secondly, robots are only known for their ways of doing tasks, but they are not great for dealing with customer’s emotions. This is due to the fact that robots does not have emotion so they are not capible of making customers feel satisfie with the restaurant. Moreover, it is evident that customers need a proper care and welcoming atmosphere by a real human workers, therefore hiring people are more efficient than a machine. For example, most restaurants around the globe are rated with four to five stars of satisfaction due to their friendly and helpful staffs.
To conclude, while automatic machines can go hand-in-hand with restaurant’s tasks, them stealing people’s job and worsen their job’s opportunities are not a suitable way to run a great restaurant.
