Homeschooling becomes more popular each day. Especially parents who live in dangerous regions or areas that have extreme conditions choose to homeschool their kids for safety reasons. However, it starts becoming a trend between some parents, like in the USA. And sometimes, it can have bad effects on children, because parents may not give them the correct or appropriate education.
First of all, I would like to mention the advantages of homeschooling. As I said in the beginning of my essay, homeschooling is a wonderful opportunity for parents who live in very hot or very cold or maybe tropical areas surrounded by poisonous plants or snakes. That is the best option for these children and it is their right to have a comfortable environment where they can study: their homes.
Homeschooling can also be beneficial for children who need to have special treatment or diseases, even if some parents do not accept or admit it. Because unfortunately, children with illnesses can be bullied in schools and it can traumatize them. So, from my perspective, that is the best choice for them.
Although homeschooling provides children with a comfortable, cozy place to study and detailed education, it also has some drawbacks too. Children who get homeschooled at home usually do not socialize and do not make friends, which leads to communicating problems, whether they are toddlers, adolescents or adults. It can have a bad influence on children’s personality.
To conclude, the compulsion of schools is a controversial topic. It depends on the circumstance that the individual is in.
