Numerous infrastructures permitted employees to work from home as a modern workplace. While some argue that working remotely reduces productivity and connection issues, I believe that the benefits outweigh them, such as flexibility and reduced costs.
First of all, one advantage of working from home is the flexibility it offers. The reason of that dwellers manage their own schedules and complete their tasks as productively. Following this, they can easily take a break and do some other exercises. For example, parents can spend more time with their children, and workers can take short breaks to rest or exercise, which improves their mental well-being. As a result, flexibility often leads to higher efficiency, as employees can work in a comfortable environment without the distractions of a busy office.
Another significant benefit of remote work is the reduction in costs and time which was spent on transportation. The reason of that people do not want to spend many hours traveling to their workplaces, which saves money on fuel costs. For instance, a normal employee spends 200-300$ for fuel about a month, which can be considered a significant expenditure. Furthermore, remote work helps reduce carbon emissions by decreasing the number of people commuting, making it an environmentally friendly option.
However, the drawbacks of working from home are far greater. One of the major cons is the decreased collaboration and communication. When working remotely, most communication happens through emails or online meetings, which can slow down decision-making and lead to misunderstandings. As a result, the overall sense of belonging within the company can weaken, which might negatively affect motivation and productivity.
In conclusion, working online provides many outweighs to employees to not exit from their comfort zone. However, the downsides are much more significant, including reduced communication and collaboration.
