Pollution is a very harmful factor not only for our environment, but also for our health. While some people believe that industries emit a lot of emissions for urban areas, others think that transport such as cars, are more harmful. In the following paragraphs, l will discuss the reason for both views and conclude with my opinion.
On the one hand, in big cities such as Kiev, London ,or Warsaw where there is a high population, automobile emissions are very significant. Usually, in the capital of any country, most of the population has cars, that means excessive amounts of transport release waste into the atmosphere, causing air pollution. Futhermore this type of pollution is very harmful for public health, expecially for lungs, and might lead to cancer and other health issues.
On the other hand, factories emit toxic wastes into soil that leads to soil pollution. Even though some industries use green energy instead of fossil fuel, the process of manufacture still includes stages that require burning and heating the ingredient. So, industries still release emissions into our planet. Contamination of soil means that all products that we farm might grow with toxins inside, leading to health problems when we consume these vegetables and fruits. Additionally, not only people’s health could be in trouble, but animals suffer from toxins in the soil, leading to the extinction of species that consume plants(herbivores).
To conclude, automobiles and manufactures release a considerable amount of wastes into our planet, and these emissions need to be reduced by people. From my point of view, both factors have harmful effect on our planet and need to be regulated carefully, in order to protect our environment.
