Band 6+: Many countries are experiencing a surge in 'digital nomadism,' where individuals work remotely while traveling and living in different locations. Is this trend ultimately more beneficial or detrimental to local communities and economies?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s digital world, many people start working remotely while being in different locations. Although this trend might have some drawbacks, I believe that the benefits will outweigh disagvantages.

On the one hand, working from home loses the atmosphere of the workplace. Working individually might be challenging in some aspects like keeping up the morale, as there is no other person that can emotionally support the staff. In contrast, in the workplace, many support each other in various challenging tasks, whether it is physical or mental. That said, the pressure of working is noticeably higher. Managers of the office pushes staff to work more efficiently, which can lead to burnout at some people. Moreover, this can cause stress in emotionally vulnerable people, as they tend to overreact to a bossy behaviour.

On the other hand, I believe that working remotely changed the way of working in a good way. One benefit is that it allowed international individuals to work on popular companies. Because this method is flexible, people can work from a distance, giving talented individuals chance of working at higher companies. As a result, they get a high salary, which allows them to live easier live. Furthermore, people get more job satisfaction. Controlling their own workplace, such as setting up the temperature or light of the room, can boost their productivity, while giving them a sense of satisfaction.

In conclusion, while the office is full of staff that can serve as helpful individuals, workers can feel a pressure of working efficiently. Meanwhile, remote working gives flexibility while giving higher job satisfaction.
