Cause And Solution

Band 5+: Many countries face the challenge of rising obesity rates. What are the causes, and what solutions can be implemented?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Undeniably, the issue overweight has become widespread in all parts of the globe. I believe that the primary causes of this are having an improper diet daily and being immobile. However, this matter can be resolved with eating a proper diet every day and increasing the community’s awareness of doing sports, which will be discussed with examples in the following.

One significant reason why the majority face obesity is they eat unhealthy food- such as fast food on a regular basis that makes them obese. In other words, this type of food is easy to prepare and affordable for many, leading many to consume it a lot. Eventually, the issue is becoming more serious amid the community. Another factor of staying fat is a few of us have a lack of doing physical activities and living the sedentary life, which enables us to put on daily weight. To elaborate further, doing sports has already been removed from many individuals’ schedule and they are immobile, furthermore, the hi-tech devices, like washing machine we use on a daily basis are replacing some of our house-chores requiring physical action. As a result, the problem with obesity is faced by the vast majority.

On the flip side, the conundrum obesity can be fixed with some viable measurements, for example, going on a healthy diet rather than fast foods. It is common knowledge that traditional foods in our menu are considered very healthy and more nutritious that cannot be replaced by junk food, such as hamburger. Should people pay attention to healthy choice in their food list, they will affect their physical well-being and they will stay much fitter. Another way to address the case would be the government should push the community to stay aware of the importance of doing sports or establish certain sports arenas or gyms, where they can do sports in their free-time. In that way, the society will be physically strong and resilient to certain illnesses, like overweight. To cite a good example, the country Japan has built sports free facilities for their citizens and those are busy with different sports activities in their pastime, which is bringing about a healthy lifestyle.

In conclusion, the conundrum obesity has become one of the serious matters of the world and many face it today. I strongly feel that the main root of it is eating unhealthy meals and the public perception in doing sports is in decline, which ought to be tackled with the solutions: establishing a healthy diet and rising people’s awareness in the essence of sports by the governments. I believe that if carried out, societies will stay fit.
