It is often argued that many individuals believe music is an excellent way to bring together people from different cultural backgrounds and age groups. I firmly agree with this view for several compelling reasons.
To begin with, one of the most significant reasons is technology, which has made a wide variety of songs – such as English, Telugu, Hindi, and Punjabi – accessible worldwide, allowing people of all ages to listen to them at any time. In other words, before the advent of mobile phones, people’s musical tastes were largely confined to their own traditions. However, with new inventions, music of different genres and languages is now listened to by many on online platforms, complete with videos that make it more engaging for those who may not understand the language. For instance, Korean K-pop has become increasingly popular among Indian youth, even though they may not speak Korean; the music’s appeal attracts adults as well, and fans often imitate their favorite artists. This clearly demonstrates how songs can bring people from different cultures together.
Another crucial point to consider is the calmness, energy, and satisfaction that one derives from listening to music, which can be obtained from any song, whether it originates from one’s own country or another nation. The only thing that truly matters is the mental satisfaction it provides to individuals of any age. A perfect example is the national anthem, when it is played, everyone – adults and children alike – stands at attention, and no one worries about who is standing next to them; they simply close their eyes and listen. Thus, it is evident that music is a unique way to unite people from all communities in a shared moment.
In conclusion, although there are many other ways to bring different communities together, I strongly believe that music is one of the best options, as the essence of music lies in the energy, calmness, and strength it imparts to each individual.
