Band 4+: Many elderly people are no longer looked after by their families but are put in care homes or nursing home.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Recently, most of families don’t take care of their grandparents instead of putting in care homes or nursing homes. This essay will discuss about benefits and drawbacks of this problem.

First of all, there are several two disadvantages. To begin, if we put them into care or nursing homes, some elderly people will be upset. To explain, the olds who live far from their families can miss their houses and families, they want to spend time staying with their children. For instance, a grandpa wants to share his story as well as old memory with his children, but he is covered to stay in that homes. Moreover, the cost of some sanatariums can be a sensuous problem.

On the other hand, a care house has become very popular because old people in here can easily become friends who have sat as generation. Specifically , grandma sometimes love communicating with each other about their live, children. Furthermore, there are considered friendly and professional care for elderly people. The reason is qualified nurses are trained properly so people can be ensured that when needed, the care will always be present and enthusiastically support round the clock. In my opinion, despite some merits, many present nursing homes have an issue that cannot be ignored.

To sum up, despite the obvious advantages of nursing homes, it comes with its own set of challenges as well, such as financial situation for families or a deep sense of loneliness of elderly people
