It has been observed that many authorities spend a myriad of money on space research. Despite some obvious drawbacks of this trend, I would contend that these are outweighed by the benefits.
Money of explore space might contain a few shortcomings to government. One of them is that space missions can cost a substantial amount of money for training astronauts, building rockets, space shuttles and developing new technologies. If space exploration fails, government can invest a large money and get nothing back. Another noteworthy reason is that this money can be better invested in other urgent issues on earth. For example, instead of investing in space exploration, the government should spend money on health care, education or environmental protection equipment. As a result, it can improve standard quality of life and will do us any good.
Despite this, it is apparent the advantages derived from this trend that people should not overlook. First and foremost, space research helps broaden our knowledge and understanding of outer space. This is because when people watch space programs or learn about space, they can gain more about the atmosphere and better predict the weather and natural disasters. Therefore, it is useful in addressing some problems that challenge our modern world. Another point in favor of exploring space is inspiring people faced with challenge. Exploring space which are requires a host of skills and qualifications such as creativity, critical thinking and perseverance to solve the problem. As a result, people who witnessed experiment from frontrunners can overcome difficulties and have more motivation to research.
To sum up, although invested a significant sum of money for space research can bring certain demerits, personally, I contend that their aforementioned merits are far more significant.
