Although there are several governments’ arguments regarding their most vital objective is economic development, some advocate for the progress of other sectors which should also be considered equally important for the growth of a nation. From my general perspective, I would contend that the focus of the government needs to be distributed equivalently between the economy, healthcare and education.
First of all, it is worth considering that it is indisputable that economic progress will lead a country to become more prosperous. This success gives rise to an increase in the availability and quality of job opportunities for people, which will significantly reduce the rate of unemployment while boosting their affordability. For instance, the parents will be more financially stable by the positive impact of the economic development which enables their children to get access to a better educational system or extracurricular activities. As a consequence, by achieving economic pursuits, many parts of the world can ensure a high standard of living for their residents.
Another point also worth noting is that putting the sole effort into the country’s economy is inadequate. People who living under the growth of the economy will likely demand the government to be involved in the development of other areas of their lives, most prominently their healthcare and education. For example, ignorance in advancing the quality of healthcare services and the knowledge-based economy will end up worsening the people’s general healthiness and comprehensive understanding, which are the essences of maintaining economic stability, From my point of view, allocating equivalent resources and funding to all types of progress is required to reach the overall goals of a nation.
In conclusion, while some governmental groups claim that their main crucial goal is to develop the economy, it is essential to contribute equally to other national sectors to have a holistic development and prevent the economy collapses. In my opinion, since all advancements play a significant role in the growth of the country, the lack of paying attention to a specific industry may adversely affect the general well-being of a society.
