In modern times, more and more couples decide not to have children at an earlier age. This trend is observed due to the fact that young people focus on career growth and want to travel around the world, and don’t want to take on the extra responsibility of a baby. All this leeds to the fact that by the age of 30-40 couples get used to living together and no longer want kids, and the birth rate drops.
First of all, the young new generation spends a lot of time self-educating and working. They want to move as far up the career ladder as possible and be successful. Moreover, couples wish to see all world and travel more together. Secondly, no one wants to take on the extra responsibility. There is an increasing tendency of behavoir in which each person is accountable only for himself and the opportunity to be responsible for the well-being and health of a baby scares them.
Such significant changes in the way of life adversely impact two important factors. The first factor is that couples get used to living together by the age of 30-40 and no longer want to have children. Because of this, they feel more lonely and abandoned in old age. The second factor is a sharp drop in the birth rate, which leads to a demographic crisis. This dramatically affects on the functioning of some labor and production spheres in countries.
In conclusion, I would like to say that young couples’ focus on careers and travel and their unwillingness to take responsibility for a child lead to unfavourable consequences in the future, both for those couples and for the entire population of countries.
