Nowadays, major of parents encourage their children to leave their home once they become old enough, while other parents keep their child stay with them although their child become older. In my opinion, that decision might depend on how mature their child are.
Teenagers will become more independent when they leave their home, this is because they will no longer have the support from their parents and also have to earn and live on their own. This will help them to adapt with real life sooner than their peers. For instance, while living alone, they could have the abilities to manage time, cooking and those skills wouldn’t have learn if they still stay with their parents, in addition, those are very important for them to survive in the future without their parents. On the other side, they will have to face more problems and its could cause loneliness and other negative emotions. This is because young people are to alone when they leave home, as a result, they will have more problems in both life and work because the lack of supporting they have like before. For example, chords used to be done by parents, now youngsters have to do it on their own after working.
On the other hand, young people will be more comfortable and familiar with their home, this will make it easier for them while working or do everything. This is because they would know all the stress in the area, also where they work or study, as they have lived and studying at that area for a long time. For example, youngsters would find it easier to transport and minimize the waste of time while moving because they might know shorter or faster ways to go. However, if youngsters stay with their parents when they are older, it would make them more independent on their parents. As while they stay at home, they would callout for their parents if they have issues and that will make them not knowing how to solve most of the things. For instance, some parents think that cooking might harmful to their children, therefore they never allow them to do it while it is one of the most essential skills.
In conclusion, leaving or staying home when children old enough have both advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion, it depends on youngsters, they should leave if they can manage to survive and shouldn’t if they are not experienced enough.
