These days, having a poor work-life balance has taken a toll in the lives of people caused mainly by the fierce competition in education and the technology. To combat this problem, government should implement numerous approaches, such as introducing limit in the technology use and a set of realistic goals may be effective.
To begin with, one of the major reasons why people fail to achieve a healthy balance between work and other parts of life is largely attributed to the study-related pressure. To be specific, many people opt to studying more so as to accomplish an outstanding achievement or get into a particular college or most commonly to attain a particular certificate. By doing so, their work-life balance goes out of its order, resulting in a much less efficient and productive daily life. Consequently, these individuals might end up seeing themselves in a situation where their routine is monotonous and stressing, despite the fact that they studied and worked on themselves a lot.
Another problem is technology. Obviously, many individuals can not spend their time for leisure and hobbies as a result of which they overuse their gadgets like their smartphones after working day. To illustrate, emails and messages keep many people stressed and busy. In addition to this, social media platforms can easily waste a huge amount of time, as it is a source of escapism and break for hard working employees, particularly after having a difficult time. If people continue in this cycle of lifestyle, there is no space left for social life, making their life generally meaningless and less productive.
In my view, there should be a strict law enforcement in limiting the time that is normally spent on gadgets. Moreover, governing officials should take action in offering specialized free-funded training that teaches how to manage time wisely and prioritizing several achievable goals
To conclude, there are two key factors why many individuals fail to achieve a work-life balance. One is related to the competition in education, as many students study excessively, though their preparation process is inefficient on the whole. Second one is technology that had a huge impact on certain aspects of people’s life negatively. This issue can be tackled through techniques mentioned above.
