In the age of revolutionary AI, it has a big impact on peoples’ lives. And it is often debated that Artificial Intelligence brings more chances of jobs while others believe that it is taking over the jobs of people. This essay argues that AI can takeover the labor-intensive jobs from people.
Artificial intelligence is not that beneficial to the people as much it is supposed to be. One of the reasons that supports my argument is that the people who are not really into the field of technology like the ones who work in the factories and warehouses are losing their jobs as machines are taking over. The other reason that can be possible is AI does not have a brain on its own which means it cannot think by itself can be proven dangerous to the surroundings. For instance, there was an article in The Times about a robot that was being used in a restaurant as a server. While serving an order to a customer the robot served a wrong meal to the guest which further caused some allergic reactions to them and ultimately died.
Furthermore, AI can also generate jobs with sedentary lifestyles which can generate health problems. Machines are more dangerous than they seem to be. Moreover, it can form complications at an international level. One of the examples’ that supports my statement is that if one of the servers of a nation is hacked by an opponent country than chances of the leakage of data are prominent. And simultaneously can cause a war among the countries.
In contrast, some argue that AI can be beneficial for the upcoming period because it brings employment opportunities. Therefore, they believe that machines can do peoples’ life easier by helping with labor-intensive jobs. However, as Artificial Intelligence makes heavy work much more effortless, which can be convenient with people who suffer from doing over-powered work. Machines can also be endangering the existence of humans by taking away their jobs from how they earn their living.
To summarise, AI can be threatening to the lives of human beings by taking away their means of living from them. It also brings some uses along with but the cons of AI outweigh the pros of using machines.
