Nowadays, some individuals think that formal examinations are not capable of evaluating students’ intelligence effectively. I disagree with this statement, and this essay will show why it is the best way to estimate pupils’ achievements compared to others.
To begin with, one of the main difficulties with assessments is the stress they create. Lots of learners experience anxiety before and during exams, which can negatively affect their performance. Even a well-prepared student might struggle under pressure, while another who just memorized information could achieve high marks. This makes tests an unreliable way to measure true knowledge and skills. For instance, examinations tend to focus only on theoretical knowledge, making it difficult to rate subjects that require hands-on experience. As a result, a scholar who is excellent at practical work may not perform well in a written test.
To carry on, auditions offer some acceptable approaches. They provide a standardized way to compare the trainees and assist to develop discipline skills. However, they should not be the only method of assessment. A balanced perspective that includes projects and presentations will allow the novices to demonstrate their understanding in different ways. This would not only reduce stress but also promote deeper learning in the suggested spheres.
In conclusion, while exams have long been used in education, they are not always the best way to measure the freshmans achievements. A combination of different assessment methods would create more effective system.
