In this contemporary society, as the world is changing exponentially, the issue regarding language learning is becoming more common. In relation to this, acquiring a new language brings various challenge. This essay will discuss these issues and give my point of view on how to solve them.
There are numerous problems studying a foreign linguistic. One of those issues is lack of interest. This is because of wrong studying method. Studying all knowledge from basic to complicated at the same time can lessen the learners’ inspiration. It is also caused by no concrete goals. There are so many wanted results that none can be achieved which is a factor contributing to the lack of interest. Apart from, this is exacerbated by negative experience. Stressful and bad studying condition and unsuccessful communication all lead to bad impression of the learners for linguistic acquisition. For intance, one did not get on well with the teachers or studied in the atmosphere of friendliness and fear in the class. Associated with that, negative impression can lead to lack of confidence. Language studying is thought to be exceptionally difficult and it is even thought that it is worthless acquiring new linguistics as the individuals involved in language acquisition believe that they cannot be good at it or apply it in the future.
There are various solutions to overcome these difficulties. First of all, extensive reading is highly recommended. This is because reading materials are the main source of input for full-scale linguistic acquisition. For example, learners can get useful vocabulary complex structure grammars from an article. The second way to tackle the problems is wider use of video and audio materials. On account of living condition, students cannot gain practical experience as well as improve their communication skills. Therefore, these materials are suitable solutions as not only can learners improve their listening skills but they are also allowed to widen their knowledge about foreign speaking culture. Last but not least, foreign language acquisition can be combined with learner’s favourite subjects. The interests in the subjects will rise students inspiration and reduce the boredom.
In conclusion, although linguistic learning is complicated and challenging for many people because of boredom, limited confidence and stressful experince, in my perspective, reading, video and audio materials as well as other subjects of interest are useful tools to overcome these challenges.
