People have different views whether students should be taught with the help of digital technology or from a printed source. While learning from online materials can be useful, I believe that printed books are more productive.
On the one hand, digital materials can be good source of learning for students. One of the main reasons for this is that numerous e-books can be stored on a single device, freeing students from the burden of carrying several heavy books wherever they go. As a result students can easily search for specific topic with the click of a button. Furthermore, online materials provide various multimedia content such as videos, pictures, and audio recordings that can enhance reading experience and engage students in the lerning process.
On the other hand, however, it is perhaps more productive to encourage children to learn from traditional printed books. Recent research has shown that readers often retain information better when they read from a printed source compared to digital screens, suggesting that printed books may play a crucial role in effective learning. Moreover, traditional books do not require charging, allowing students with uninterrupted reading in various settings. For some people feeling of the paper as they turn pages brings emotional benefits, thus helping them to engage in text in a more tangible manner. Consequently, I believe that printed books have certain advantages over digital materials.
In conclusion, while it might be beneficial to teach students through online sources, I believe that traditional books offer more effectiveness.
