It is the public’s perception that globalization has enormous devastating consequences on environment. Personally, I think that globalization can have harmful outcomes due to pollution and deforestation.
The first reason to support this notion is that globalization has led to increased emission pollutants. To put it another way, globalization contributing to intensification of industrial production in many countries leading to growing harmful gases such as carbon. Based on first hand observation, take Mihan factory in my city, Tehran, as an example, where gained much popularity through the spread in the worldwide over the last decades despite the many environmental pollutions it brings.
Another remarkable point to be mentioned about this trend is that global integration may result in environmental degradation like felling. In other words, universalization has sparked an increase in production and consumption and also promotes the expansion of industries such as agriculture, logging and mining in various parts of the world, leading to increased exploitation of natural resources and deforestation. As far back as I get through my personal experiences, during my volunteer work for environmental department, I understood that the globalized world was dealing with the problem of insufficiency of vital plants and the services they provide and if we do not protect the environment, we risk depleting these resources and making them unavailable for future generation. That is why worldwide standardization should be controlled, thereby preventing from many problems to occur.
In conclusion, it seems obvious to reach the idea that global interconnection has lots of demerits for the environment. I would like to stress that global harmonization is not defensible because of unbreathable air and cutting trees down. It is highly recommended that the governments take the infrastructural steps against this ever-growing concern.
