It is believed that globalisation and establishment of multinational companies adversely effects the environment. I fully agree with this statement because the setting up of MNC’s leads to depletion of natural resources and increase the amount of pollution in the environment.
To begin with, I have numerous cogent reasons to support my viewpoint. First and foremost is that it leads to depletion of natural resources from setting up and until the final delivery of the products and services. As establishment of MNC’S needs colossal land and to avail this land people starts doing deforestation. Apart from cutting down of the trees, to meet tha requirement of raw material for production, the other non-renewable resources such as coal, petroleum, etc., are used at a very large level which ultimately leads to environmental damage and also play a significant role in making these resources deprived for future use.
Furthermore, it is also a major cause of pollution. The companies do not care about disposing their wastes in an adequate manner. They dispose their waste in the water bodies which pollute the water and jeopardize the marine life. Moreover, smoke arises from the factories contain many harmful particles which mixes in the air and create air pollution. Due to globalisation, the transportation of goods inclined leading to more use of vehicles and contributes to the air as well as noise pollution.
In conclusion, I can emphatically reiterate my agreement with the given statement because after the globalisation and trend of MNC’S the rate of extinction of various resources and the amount of pollution increased at a significant rate.
