In the last century, the first man, walking on the moon considered it a significant achievement for mankind, while some argue that it has had a less impact on people’s daily lives. Nevertheless, I strongly disagree with the idea, and I firmly believe that this achievement has contributed significantly to people’s development in different aspects of their lives.
One of the positive impacts of walking on the moon is that it has acted as a catalyst for scientists to deepen their understanding of the space, which has resulted in groundbreaking innovations, including satellites. Satellites have allowed people to access information worldwide through their television and smartphones from the comfort of their homes. Thereby, they have made people’s lives more convenient and enjoyable. For instance, the weather prediction satellites have enabled individuals to become inform of weather condition, which helps them plan their daily tasks more easily while enabling them to pursue entertainment associated with weather condition. Thus, walking on the moon has played a significant role in people’s personal lives.
Furthermore, the achievement has created unique opportunities for scientists to evaluate the possibility of life in other plants, which provided them with detailed information about the atmosphere and environmental issues, such as climate change and global warming. This has led to measures aiming at reducing consumption of fossil fuels in order to decline carbon emissions. For example, specialised satellites give information on the amount of air pollution in different part of the world, which enables scientists to take appropriate action to tackle the air pollution in such area, which have a direct impact on people’s health and daily life. Thus, the achievement has indirectly and directly influenced people’s lives.
To sum up, from my perspective, walking on the moon was more likely to be a giant leap for mankind, as it has given rise to remarkable innovations, including satellites and scientific achievements, affecting people’s personal and professional lives. Therefore, I disagree with the idea.
