It is true that the main intention of public libraries is to offer books rather than expensive digital media, which has become a widely debated issue. While some people argue that public libraries are suitable for giving books rather than modern media, I totally disagree with this view because books and digital products are crucial for people . This essay will discuss the main reasons for my viewpoint.
The primary reason why I disagree with this view is that people can access both books and digital devices in the same place. This is mainly because a single library offers both types of products for customers. In other words, it eventually leads to finding their necessary items. For example, if students need to purchase books and computers, they should go to these types of libraries which offer both in one shop. Therefore, it is evident that these opportunities can save their precious time as well as save transportation costs for going to other libraries.
Another compelling reason is that when people visit a library, they can be introduced to the staff and they may offer discounts when purchasing both books and media products. This can be attributed to the fact that several times libraries give combined opportunities for books and technical commodities. For instance, many libraries offer customers that if someone buys any expensive hi-tech media, they will receive different types of books. As a result, customers can be encouraged to buy products in the same place where both are available.
In conclusion, although some people think that public libraries should provide only books , I firmly believe that providing both books and media products in the same areas is essential for people because it helps to save their valuable time and also customers can create good relationships with company staff.
