The moon landing was undoubtedly a historic event, symbolizing human ingenuity and scientific progress. However over the past century,  some individuals argue that it has made little difference to our daily lives, I partially agree with this point of view. 
In practical terms, sending a man to the moon has not changed most people’s lives. Instead of investing billions of dollars in space programs, the government could use this money to pay for social welfare or public services like healthcare, employment, living standards, etc. For example In Africa, in particular, thousands of people die every year due to lack of food, lack of water, and lack of medicine; however, if the government supported these countries, more people would survive or international organizations should pay more attention to refugees. Every year thousands of people in the Middle East lose their homes and have to leave their countries, especially Syria which has the highest refugee rate in the world, and putting a man on the moon does nothing to protect them from the above. Therefore, humanity has more important problems to solve than sending humans to the moon.
On the other hand, We cannot deny that it is a proud achievement of humans, and it represents the advance of technology in our modern world. This achievement excited people and inspired the younger generation. Moreover, it gives us the motivation that we can achieve anything if we put our minds and hearts to it, regardless of adversity.
In conclusion, the achievement of putting a man on the moon represents modern progress in the world today, but I believe that helping our poor people is a much greater need than space missions
