Everyone has a difference in opinion about where money should be spent and where it should not. One such example is that many people believe that spending a huge sum of money on the Olympics and World Cups is a complete waste. They perhaps believe that there are “better things” worth looking into and accordingly are valuable enough to be spent on. I, on the other hand, am not in support of this opinion.
Sports is something that must be considered as equal to education. Not everyone in the world might want to pursue something academic-related in their professional life. Every individual is different and varies in terms of their hopes and dreams. By exposing the individual to all kinds of sports, we teach them a variety of skills, most of which even benefit our health. For example, in the case of Track sport, by helping us increase our mobility it can help us in several life-threatening situations where there is a need to run. Moreover, the sport increases our blood circulation and reduces the chance of cardiovascular diseases.
By spending money on World cups and the Olympics, it would encourage people to participate in them.
