While some people believe that technology has led to many positive developments in our daily lives, others argue that technologies are taking too much control of the way people live. Personally, I believe that the development of technologies makes our daily lives more convenient.
To begin with, modern technologies are gradually influencing our everyday lifes. One of the main advantages of technology is that it gives instant access to all information you need in one press. Now, there is no need to search and scan tens of websites to find how to cook something or where you can have a delicious meal. You only need to type your request and artificial intelligence will provide you with everything you want to know. Moreover it improves communication, so you can talk to someone from another continent for free or immediately receive an emergency message from a family member. For instance, AI makes my daily tasks more convenient and productive. I can trust him to organise my schedule, ask how to find discriminants in math or just find good jeans in the city I live in.
On another hand, it has also made people increasingly dependent on digital devices. It is hard to imagine what we would do without social media, help by AI or being in touch with family and friends. Unfortunately, development of technologies also reduces face-to-face communication because of the convenience of messengers. Nevertheless I suppose that it is impossible to completely exclude all problems associated with technological development.
In conclusion, despite the fact that development of technologies increase the risks to privacy and people’s dependence from that, it makes our daily lives easier and more productive than 20 years ago. Therefore I believe that the advantages of technologies outweigh the disadvantages.
