On one hand, the proponents of career and education contend that those factors give people more power, and potential, while having respect is located the highest in the Maslow triangle of human needs. Moreover, along with career, there are other advantages comes together, as financial stability and reputation. In consequences, people tend to see those traits as a success.
On the other hand, building family and friends must be highlighted too. It is paramount to acknowledge that raising children and taking responsibility over a household is equally important. Similarly, there are different advantages that one conquers as they reach the peak of this success, as care, and love from them.
To put it on the broader spectrum, there can be other measures of success, as contributing to the global issues. For instance, the movement of Angelina Jolie, raising orphans, and helping millions of children from countries of water shortage can be viewed as success. It is definite that the feeling that comes with the contribution to saving someone’s life is undeniably inexpressible.
In conclusion, depending on the people’s perspective, and latter feeling that people feel, the definition of success can be differed. Therefore, reaching high position at work, advancing the education, making a great family, or helping people around the globe, all can be viewed as success. As a mother, simply seeing my son growing to be a healthy toddler is a success to me.
