There are different ways to ensure success for everyone. The majority of individuals try to be successful through their profession or education. This essay will cover how everyone perceives success differently from each other and my personal way of being successful. In spite of the arguments against it, it is my firm opinion that being successful in life correlates with my personal interests.
Success’s meaning differs for everyone. Most of the people create a link between being successful and their job and academic career. Moreover, there are many alternatives to consider themselves as successful in their life. If a person decides to continue in their academic life and become a professor as a final step, they will feel the excitement of accomplishment. On the other hand, it can be completely the opposite way of steps for somebody else such as dropping out of school and finding their own interests in different areas. For instance, Mark Zuckerberg was a brilliant student at a university; however, he realized that he chose to drop out of school and started working on Facebook.
My perspective to consider myself as successful is finding my personal interest which is architecture and design. I personally think that if I pursue my practices in designing houses and work with famous architects, I can learn from them and can become one step closer to being successful. Even though I have a long road in front of me, I will consider myself as a successful architect when I count as one of the leading famous architects in the globe. For example, the Residence project on Kadıköy was my first ever project that has been built, and when I saw the final form of the building that I designed, I felt the tiny satisfaction of being successful.
In summary, everyone chooses their own way to be successful in life. Whether focused on university courses or their occupation, it is related with people’s personal interests. From my point of view, before choosing between education and career, people should realize their personal interests and focus on them.
