In recent years, many schools around the world have been facing increasing problems with poor student behaviour. This issue has become a major concern for teachers and school administrators because it affects the learning environment and the overall academic performance of students. It is important to understand why this problem is happening and what steps can be taken to solve it.

One of the main causes of misbehaviour in schools is the lack of discipline and guidance at home. Many parents today are extremely busy with their jobs and do not spend enough time teaching their children good manners, respect, and self-control. When children do not learn these values at home, they are more likely to act aggressively or disrespectfully in school. In addition, some parents avoid punishing their children, which makes the behaviour even worse.

Another significant reason is the influence of technology. Students spend long hours watching videos, using social media, or playing violent games. They often try to copy the rude language or negative actions they see online. This exposure makes them less interested in studies and more likely to misbehave during class. Furthermore, overcrowded classrooms make it difficult for teachers to manage students effectively, leading to more discipline problems.

To tackle this issue, both parents and schools must work together. Parents should monitor their children’s screen time and teach them discipline at home. Schools can organise character-building programmes, provide counselling, and set clear rules with fair punishments so that students understand the consequences of bad behaviour.

In conclusion, poor student behaviour occurs mainly due to weak parental involvement, technology misuse, and crowded classrooms. However, with strong cooperation between schools and families, this problem can be reduced, creating a safer and more productive learning environment for all students.
