Because of inability to compete with big supermarkets a ton of small and lical shops are closing. This essay will discuss the main effects of closing minimarkets to local community and propose some possible solutions to improve them.
The main problems caused by liquidation of small shops are growth of prices in large supermarkets. This is mainly because of absence of competitors of big supermarkets and it will lead local community to go to long distance markets in order to shop by adequate prices or buy overpriced products in local supermarket. What’s more, if liquidation of local markets will continue, it is almost certain that wealth of middle class would get lower. For example, because of big supermarkets small shops are unable to compete with them, so many small markets went bankrupt, which means they lost a large amount of their budget.
In my opinion, the best solution to stop overpricing of products is a setting a low about price control. If government will punish big supermarkets for overpricing, local community would not worry about prices in markets. And I guess the best way to avoid bankruption of locall businesses is the investigation of government. If government will support small businesses by providing investions then it is highly likely many of them wil be successfull in future.
In conclusion, liquidation of small shops causes a lot of problems to local community including increasing of prices and lowering of middle classes wealth. The most effective solution to this problems is to controlling the prices and investing small shops.
