It is widely acknowledged that artificial intelligence is the most significant tool for solving humanity’s problems. I believe, however, that artificial intelligence cannot fully reach human abilities due to numerous reasons.
The primary reason is that artificial intelligence is not able to understand human emotions. In contrast, humans can comprehend every type of emotional behavior. From that, we connect with each other’s feelings in a deeper way. A clear example of this is that if your friend is crying, a human can understand sadness through personal experience and emotional connection. AI can suggest some comforting words, but it does not actually feel them. Therefore, even though AI can provide useful information, it cannot replace the importance of human emotional connections in daily life.
Additionally, artificial intelligence is entirely dependent on human development. AI systems are created and maintained by people. If there were no programmers to develop AI, AI systems would not be able to work at all. For instance, ChatGPT was created by humans to help people communicate and give or find information. Without human creators and users, it would not exist in the world. Consequently, AI is just a tool created to serve human needs, rather than human intelligence itself.
On balance, artificial intelligence is pivotal in today’s world. From my perspective, however, it cannot replace a human’s clever mind. Therefore, people should maintain and preserve their unique knowledge and continue developing it instead of relying too much on AI.
