In recent years, the migration of more and more adults towards cities has become a matter of concern. This essay will first discuss the problems that parents face when their children move to urban areas and then outline the possible measures to take.
One of the main reasons for leaving Hometown is higher education. This is because, in many countries, especially my country, there are no institutionsfor higher degree education in rural areas. When a student completes his intermediate qualification, he has to move to a city to pursue higher education. In addition, healthcare facilities available in cities also play an important role. For example, in many villages, in the case of a health emergency, people usually have to travel many kilometers to reach a big hospital with all the medical facilities available. As a consequence, many patients die on the way before reaching the hospital. Therefore, to seek better facilities for education and health, young people living in the countryside prefer to move to cities.
In response to this issue, the government should take the initiative to tackle the issue. This could be achieved by establishing institutions for higher education within a range of almost 10 kilometers from villages. By doing this, students would not have to leave their parents and move to cities. As a result, they will be able to look after their parents along with their studies. Moreover, the construction of hospitals with modern healthcare amenities would also be beneficial, as it helps people reach hospitals early to get the medine and the other treatments they require. A good example of this can be seen in Europe, where hospitals and healthcare are not out of reach for the public, whether they live in cities or not. Hence, such initiative by the government would help reduce the problem to a large extent.
Apart from governments, individuals can also contribute by opening small clinics nearby. By doing so, they can save the lives of the people before they reach the big hospitals. For instance, providing a small cylinder of oxygen to the patients would save their life.
In conclusion, the problem of migration of youngsters arises mainly because of the less or no facilities offered by villages. Nevertheless, it can be tackled through government policies and individual efforts. Only with combined efforts can society successfully cope with this trend.
