Many people believe that the younger generation spends a lot of their time in shopping centres. Some people think that it has a negative influence on both them and society, while others believe that it can be a positive way to spend free time. I believe that this activity has both advantages and disadvantages.
I think that spending time in malls can help young people relax more. They have a lot of daily routine, study tasks and sometimes even some amount of stress. For instance, when a teenager meets with his or her friends and spends time with them somewhere such as shopping centre it can give them more energy, helps them reduce stress and enjoy themselves and create pleasant memories. In addition, this activity can be healthy because of walking by foot. People need to get to the shopping mall and some of them prefer bus or another public transport, while the others can get there by foot.
On the other hand, when the young generation goes to the shopping centres they can experience some negative effects and also affect another people. For example, the group of friends comes to a mall and laughs and talks loudly. The other people who also come to relax can be very disappointed and annoyed because of this situation. Moreover, bright advertisements, a wide variety of shops, especially of luxury brands, can have a negative impact on the young people. They see all of these entertainments, besides, they may want to seem cooler in front of friends, and this desire can give some pressure on them to buy something expensive and cool but not very important and necessary. As a result, this may lead to poor financial habits among teenagers.
In conclusion, although spending time in shopping malls can be relaxing and entertaining, it can also have negative effects which teenagers should learn to manage or avoid.
