Nowadays, human activities are causing an increase in animals’ extinct in both land and marine habitats due to several reasons, such as modernization, overhunting and overfishing. However, there are practical measures, including raising public awareness and imposing stricter policies.
One of the primary reasons for this phenomenon is overhunting. Specifically, overhunting is very unsustainable and it will significantly reduce some animals’ populations. Simultaneously, overfishing also affects the sea life such as an unbalanced habitat. For example, many professional fishers tend to catch fish as much as possible. Therefore, the marine habitat may lose its ability of regeneration, some sea animals will become extinct while remains have difficulty finding their preys. Additionally, modernization causes habitat loss which is very crucial for survival of some species. Particularly, increasing of farmlands is forcing deforestations. As a consequence, this situation eradicate numerous rare species.
To tackle this issue, one possible solution is raising public awareness. This can be achieved by public propaganda and through pamphlets, social organizations may encourage human not to act harmful activities towards nature enviroments. For example, many Japanese volunteers handed out many leaflets to raise public consciousness about whales’ populations, subsequently this reduced many illegal huntings on endangered whales. Another effective measure is applying stricter policies to slow the speed of modernization. For instance, Vietnamese government are imposing suitable regulations to inhibit rapid modernization and protect nature environments.
In conclusion, human is causing many detrimental effects on many species. Nevertheless, by taking proper action, this issue can be minimized. Both individuals and governments should work together to implement these solutions for a better future.
