Band 5+: More and more people are eating fast food. Why are more people eating fast food? What problems may arise in future?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

One of the matters of great concern in our contemporary life is that where everything is advanced to a better version of itself, food quality is one thing that isseverely degrading. Fast food consumption has increased by vast numbers in recent years. This issue has raised arguments discussing its prospective causes and effects in the future.

There are several justifications for the increase of fast food consumption. The first one is readily material; street cuisine or fast foods are easy and quick to make. For example, when we order KFC burger in their place, they give us that cuisine item in minutes because the inner material is already ready; they just have to assemble it; therefore, it is a time saver. Moreover, variety in foodstuff items is the second reason. Fast meal restaurants have different varieties and tastes for the diverse populace. They just put different kinds of ketchup and create a new recipe.

Admittedly, increasing to eat fast food has several negative effect on social life. First of all, Diabetes, high cholesterol, heart and respiratory problems are all on the rise due to fatty and sugar-rich food. Fast foods are considered unhealthy since they are full of saturated fats and empty calories. This will lead to many diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and stroke. Thus, human beings are being sick more often than not. On another hand, these individuals form and shape the community, and if the consumption of these foods is high in one country, it is estimated that they will put pressure on the government to provide healthcare facilities which are financial burden in other words. In addition, people spend so much time together for preparation and eating the traditional foods. Therefore, if families start eating outdoors, it means that they would not spend so much time together. For instance, a family has to purchase the ingredients, peel and cut vegetables and the like which would strengthen their bonds. However, eating packaged foods limits this time, and they would not be close enough further.

In conclusion, more and more people are eating fast food which stems from several reasons, and there are number of fatty and sugar-rich food effect on social life.
