Nowadays, it is often argued that people are transferring from rural areas to urban places to get a greater lifestyle. Serious problems are overpopulation and pollution, visible solutions are developing small towns and controling factory pollution.
On the one hand, one serious problem in big cities is overcrowding and lack of contractions, because many people move to cities every year and there are not enough houses and apartments for everyone, so rent becomes very expensive and some families have to live in poor conditions. Another important problem is pollution. Since there are more cars, factories, and people, the air and water become dirty. As a result, many city residents suffer from health problems such as breathing difficulties.
On the other hand, one effective solution is developing small towns and creating more jobs there, because if people can find good work, and services outside big cities, they will not need to move to crowded urban areas. This can reduce pressure on housing, and public services in cities. Another important solution is to control factories working methods, and use cleaner energy, because factories are a major source of pollution in cities, for instance, if the government makes strict rules for factories, and supports solar or wind energy, the air and water in cities can become much cleaner.
In conclusion, cities face serious problems such as overcrowding and pollution, but by using better public transport and controlling factory pollution, life in the city can be better and healthier for everyone.
