In developing countries, an increasing number of people are buying cars for the first time of their lives. This essay will argue that this situation can cause air pollution and the most viable solution is to encourage people buying electric motor vehicles.
One major problem when people in developing nations are buying cars more than ever is air pollution. This is because cars that people in these countries can afford are fuel engines, and an increasing number of cars means higher CO2 gases emission. As carbon dioxide gases are the major contribution to polluted air, it is not surprising that increasing cars can cause air pollution issues in developing countries. For example, Bangkok has a rising car buyers every year and is in danger from PM 2.5 dust particles from engine combustions.
In order to solve this problem, governments should encourage people to buy EV cars to alleviate air pollution. This is because EV car prices are equivalent to normal cars and electric motor vehicles do not emit CO2 gases, which are the main causes in polluted air and are safer to people’s respiratory systems in the long run. For instance, in China the majority of people now use electric vehicles and this is highly effective to reduce air pollution problems.
