It goes without saying that over the years, photographs have become an integral part of human existence. People visit famous places to get photos, and often without looking at the place. Social media is one of the numerous reasons that contribute to this trend. I believe it is both a boon and a bane, but the positives outweigh the negatives. In the following paragraph, I will demonstrate on my opinion.
There is a plethora of reasons for people visiting these popular destinations that includes but is not limited to Pre wedding photoshoots, uploading on social media, leisure activities, etc. These memories stay throughout life with them by means of technology, and a beautiful collection to show to their kids when they grow up. In addition to that, almost every person under the sun today is busy in working to feed their family, and exploring new destinations can be a stress buster.
Having said that, this can prove to be catastrophic. In recent times, we often wake up to news of influencers losing their lives by tripping into a river, falling off heights and other reasons. Visiting places and collecting pictures is adorable as long as it is only a small part of human life and people should not make it their life instead. Last year, I was appalled by the news of a well-known influencer who committed suicide for sole reason of not getting enough views or likes.
In conclusion, I will reiterate that Visiting places and taking photographs is a positive trend as long as rules and regulations are respected, caution or information signs are followed, and most importantly living in the moment is prioritized instead of taking photos without actually enjoying the essence.
