Band 6+: More and more young people are rich and have a healthier lifestyle than ever, but they are less happy. Why is this happening? What can be done?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is a growing trend where most young generation own better health and wealth more than ever before , nonetheless they are not pleased from that. While this phenomenon yields certain advantages such as better living standards and freedom . I firmly believe that the drawbacks notably increasing unrealistic expectations and dissatisfaction from life are far more profound and ultimately outweigh the perceived benefits.

Perhaps the most significant benefit of living better life is that young generation easily adapt independent lifestyle in their early years. When parents create better living opportunities and education system for their children , therefore they raised independent and broad minded . Subsequently , their children easily reach financial stability and they can invest in their personal development like pursuing hobbies. This is exemplified by children from stable income families , which help to afford high-quality education and travel abroad to improve their way of thinking and feel overall satisfaction and development. Therefore, while creating better opportunities for children can help to boost self development and independence , its overall significance remains relatively minor compared to its broader adverse impacts .

I strongly presume the younger generation enjoying a higher standard of living can bring detrimental consequences , a common one of which is having unrealistic expectations and increasing pressure and dissatisfaction. With increasing expectations and constant comparison with others can make them feel dissatisfied despite having a relatively high standard of living. The implications are not confined to desire for more wealth but also extend to material possessions , ultimately making it difficult for them to appreciate the benefits of their comfortable lifestyle. A perfect case in point would be in the social media many wealthy influencers often showcase luxurious destinations, expensive purchases, and travel vlogs in their social media pages , which cause to create inadequate and social comparison in peoples life. In this regard , I believe that possessing wealth and health life style in young age poses more adverse ramifications, particularly in terms of comparison and dissatisfaction risks.

In conclusion, having financial security and good health from a young age may cause to growing independent and with better living standards, I strongly believe that the far-reaching consequences driven by suffering from comparison lifestyles and dissatisfaction decisively confirm that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.
