The majority of cities around the world are growing at a phenomenal rate with a respective increase in population which is affecting the quality of life in urban areas due to pollution and crowd. The reasons for this problem and few practical solutions are as follows.
The primary reason for this exponential growth in cities can be meeting the demands of the increasing population in all possible ways. For example, increase in number of people requires a number of hospitals, residential apartments, malls, educational institutions and so on. One other reason for growth in cities might be to increase economic growth of the country as it depends mostly on the stock markets of the cities which are developed to the maximum extent.
As a result of increasing population and, cities around the globe, the purity of air, water, food has been compromised impacting human life. One way to overcome this problem is to control the human population by bringing awareness among the people through advertisements, campaigns. Alternatively, we can also follow few measures for reducing pollution like car pooling to offices, using recyclable products, following the concept of reduce, reuse and, recycle.
The growth in population has led to the significant increase in number of cities but as a responsible citizen of the society, one should definitely take part in keeping the surroundings clean and healthy which promotes a healthier life both for us and the generations to come.
