It is argued that displaying national culture-related masterpieces should be focused more than other cultures in art exhibitions. Though placing national custom assists on preserving tradditional value, culture exchange also contributes to tighten diplomatic relationship among countries.
On the one hand, traditional value could be conserved and promoted efficently thanks to museums. All travellers, both foreigners and citizens, demand for exploring national value, coming to museum. Therefore, art galleries play a significant role in emphasising national cultural identity through displaying traditional items. For examples, thanks to exhibited historic items from prehistoric society to current days, Vietnamese people can define our culture which distinguished from other nations. For visitors, visiting museums improves their knowledge about Vietnamese custom and human society relations among countries. In addition, national exhibitions are prestigious locations warranted by the government, all the products displayed are verified and sensored carefully by professions. Therefore, the most trust-worthy place for both foreigners and inhabitats to dig deeply into traditional value is museums.
On the other hand, placing some international products in museums not only diversifies national artifacts, but also fosters diplomatic relationships. Firstly, citizens could enhance ethnic culture through being imparted to other national works. For example, the traditional clothes in Vietnam – ao dai, which was modernize, is more suitable for daily activities inspired by other costumes. Secondly, displaying territory works in galleries illustrates close relationship among the governments. For instance, Vietnamses museums preserve some national costumes from France, China, Laos, which demonstrates Vietnam’s hospitality and solidity to the others.
In summary, it is crutial for nations to display historic products in art exhibitions for cultural conservation. However, to enhance diplomatic purposes and foster cultural exchange, the authorities should consider placing internation products in national museums as well.
