Music is complimented by almost of people in the society. Sharing music believed as a norm for some people, whilst some recognize that it should be allowed before the publication. This essay advocate to the latter statement in case of the sharing purpose is for individual’s benefit.
The common objective of musics perceived by the society is to build enjoyment, whether through playing or sharing. Form my perspective, it is acceptable that the music shared in the purpose of entertaining people within the private areas, because of the intention is only just to provide happiness for other nor for personal interest. However, in case of publishing the cover version of those artworks via online such as Youtube or social media, the reference of original source has to be cited in order to avoid the conflict that might be occurred.
However, in light of sharing the music legally owned by an artist for commercialization or revenue generation should be permitted by the music’s owner, otherwise, it is considered as a disrespectful action. In comparison, musics are the piece of art composited by the determination, effort, and soul dedicated by the musician. Using other people’s work for making money without any permission is not different from copying, which taking advantages from the work that is abundant with the owner’s effort. For example, what will you feel if some people counterfeit the product that you has been truly putting an effort to produce it, and sell it to the public?
In a nutshell, sharing music for entertainment purpose is recognized as an acceptable manner. Whereas, making money from other’s piecework is a prohibition and should not be occurred with any music makers.
